Access- How Will I Get Around?

Well now that I have purchased my flight to Scotland, there is so much I want to see and do. However, it is impossible to walk everywhere. So, I need to figure out what the best ways are to get around.

·        The first way is by car. Car is a great way to get around, because it provides you with so much flexibility and allows you to go wherever you wish to go.  This also would cut back on transportation costs, but is not an option for me, since I am a budget traveler.

·        Bus or coach. This is also a great way to get around, because then the tour guides or even just the bus driver will be able to provide you with local stories and can tell you where the best stops are in Scotland.

·        Tour Companys. You can sometimes get good deals with a tour company for some of the big attractions, like Edinburgh Castle.  The guides are usually local or at least know a lot about the country and they could also provide you with tips of where to go and maybe even places where not to go.

·        Train. By traveling by train, it is a great way to see the Scottish Highlands and Scotland  in general. Here you can relax and enjoy Scotland without even leaving your seat.

·        Ferry. Sometimes if you want to travel to a different part of Scotland, there is water in the way and so you need to take a ferry. The view from the boat is also amazing and you may even see a few water animals.

·        Cycling or walking. If I ever wanted to just have a relaxing day, I could go for a nice walk or bike ride through the highlands and get the fresh air and witness first hand, just how amazing Scotland is.

·        Cabs. I will be taking a cab from the airport to my hotel. However, I will be using this the one time, because it is a little expensive. This will be my last resort for my transportation.
